SAH (Sault Area Hospital) is investigating a complaint of patients who were offered money to go home.
Diane Edwards of Echo Bay is filing a complaint against a emergency room doctor, who walked into a waiting room and offered everybody $10 dollars if they went home.
Diane had been waiting in the room for about 8 hours before she was propositioned, she said she was highly insulted and would not say how many people left.
She said a letter "should be on (SAH spokesperson Brady Irwin's) desk today or tomorrow.
"
Since the doctor is not an employee of the hospital he can only be council ed on his bed side manner. Most doctors are just family doctor's who due there time in the emergency room. Due to the shortage of doctor's in sault ste. marie. I highly doubt anything will come of this complaint, they just don't have the doctors, therefore they can not afford to lose a doctor over this.
