Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers complete 8 player deal

By BluPanda     Jan 17, 2007 in Sports
Eight player, two team deal complete.
The Golden State Warriors and the Indiana Pacers, both struggling basketball teams, have agreed to a trade that will be shaking up both teams dramatically. The trade was not really a blockbuster deal, but it did involve eight players.
Sent to Indiana: Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Ike Diogu, and Keith Mcleod
Sent to Golden State: Sarunas Jasikevicius, Josh Powell, Stepen Jackson, and Al Harrington.
Both teams insist that the players they acquired benefit "their style" of play. For Indiana, it also gives them a chance part ways with problematic Jackson who has been dealing with legal and in-team issues. The Warriors on the other hand get a chance to get rid of the highly overpriced contracts that the underachieving Murphy and Dunleavy were signed to.
