By nidsjourno     Jan 15, 2007 in Lifestyle
Bindi Irwin- daughter of late croc hunter Steve Irwin had her first stint with audience after her father's death and gave a brilliant performance.
Late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin’s eight-year-old daughter - Bindi Irwin was at her best during her international stage debut in Los Angeles on Sunday night. She entralled the audience with her knowledge about her father's field and even encouraged the fans to use her father's catch lines.."Crickey!"
"Let's have a crikey-off" Bindi yelled. .
The 2000 plus U.S. audience in the historic Ahmanson Theatre paid up to 65 dollars per ticket, which included Hollywood celebrities.
She was performing at the concert presented by Tourism Queensland as part of the G’Day USA Australia Week festival, currently taking place in Los Angeles and New York to promote Australia.
Bindi’s fans were dressed in khaki clothes, as were worn by her late father, Steve. She performed nine high-energy songs with her four Crocmen back-up dancers for a little under an hour, before handing the stage over to Australia's kings of kids entertainment ‘The Wiggles’.
In between Bindi's songs, her mother Terri and father's best mate Wes Mannion appeared on stage with exotic animals, including an albino Burmese python named Lemonade, Archie the baby orangutan, an eagle, a Bengal tiger cub and a fully-grown red kangaroo.
Celebrities present at the concert included the Aussie TV star Dominic Purcell, and Australian director John Polson.
Bindi, the Crocmen and ‘The Wiggles’ will perform at another sell-out concert in Manhattan next Saturday.
