Wycombe Wanders have held Chelsea to a draw in the first leg of the Carling Cup Semi-Final
The League Two side started the game strongly with Kevin Betsy forcing Hilario into a good save with a shot at the far post. However, Chelsea took the lead through Wayne Bridge slightly before half-time. Chelsea sat back and failed to press home their advantage.
Chelsea were missing Didier Drogba up front through suspension and Andrei Shevchenko due to injury. However, even the introduction of Frank Lampard did not inspire the Premiership champions. Jermaine Easter levelled the scores for Wycombe and gave them a good platform to take the fight to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will have to be on their guard in the second leg at Stamford Bridge. Wycombe have already beaten two Premiership sides and will not be easily phased.
