Iraqi soldiers appealed to the U.S. military for help after Iraqi army checkpoints were attacked by gunmen.
Iraqi soldiers were backed by the U.S. military early Tuesday morning in Baghdad when they fought gunmen.
The U.S. military closed off roads and helped in the door to door search for gunmen.
Some warplanes and helicopters also helped by flying over Haifa Street (the area known for "terrorist hide-outs") and some witnesses said "they seen the aircraft firing into the combat zone."
Some arrests were made in an attempt to restore Iraqi Security Forces control of North Haifa Street.
Lets hope the Iraqi Security Force get control of the entire situation over there and the troops can come home.
