Amazon is out of the box with Unbox!

Amazon continutes to grow with their new Unbox video download service.

It's no wonder Amazon reported record sales this year. The company, which originally started as an online book store, has branched out tremendously since those early days. The newest addition to the mega-site -- Unbox. Amazon's Unbox is an online video store where you can download movies, television shows, sporting events, and tons more directly from the site to any PC that you have registered. The countless choices range in price from 1.99 for an episode of The Cosby's to 15.99 for Jackass 2. Worried about late fees? Don't be. These are yours to keep! Unfortunately the system only works with PCs running Windows XP. After downloading the Amazon Unbox Video Player (only 3.8mb and easy to install), shoppers can visit the Unbox portion of Amazon.com or simply find movies to rent through the front Amazon.com pages. The Unbox pages have previews of movies that work with the player so you can "try-before-you-buy" and allow you to browse by TV channel, movie studio, category, or genre. Once you have decided on a movie and paid with the "1-click" payment system (it really is super quick) you can start watching you movie after a few minutes. The movie continues to download while it plays in the player. Here is the kicker. You can watch the movies any time you want to by using a "remote control" reloader. You may even download it to any registered PC you have, e.g. put it on your laptop and desktop for no additional charge. Go one step further and watch it on your TV or your portible media player.
