Police in Waterloo, Ont., have arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with the discovery of syringes at a Maple Leaf Foods plant last year.
Edgar Remmert of Kitchener, Ontario was arrested and charged with criminal negligence, common nuisance endangering life and mischief over $5,000.
Employees had found plastic syringe casings alongside food products on three separate occasions at the plant back in November and police were notified.
