Stray bullets shot during New Year's Eve celebration have injured and killed people all over the globe.
From the 69-year-old man to the six-month-old baby, last New Year's Eve was a fatal night. Celebratory bullets shot into the air killed Audley Eubanks in Plantation Florida and in Cavite, Bacoor, a six-month old baby was killed. In the Philippines, 35 people were injured by stray bullets.
A young woman in Orlando, FL was celebrating with her family in their backyard and she lost her right eye as a result of stray bullet.
Reverend Jerome Starling still feels the loss of his niece who was killed ten years ago by a stray bullet during a Martin Luther King celebration parade in Miami, FL. He wants the celebratory shooting of guns and rifles to stop but law enforcement officials say that is difficult to stop becuase they are always random shootings.
Miami-Dade Police Captain, Harvey Honig reports that even though shootings occur throughout the year during other celebrations, such as Independence Day, they increase dramatically during New Year Celebrations.
