Seeking nirvana by unusual means

As tens of thousands of Hindus thronged Allahabad for a holy bathing festival, several holy men opted for a more unusual approach on their path to nirvana.
While most of us are familiar with the rituals in the Ganges or elsewhere where Indians perform various pilgrimages, these particular rites are of special interest.
There is a video from Reuters included via the link. Make sure to watch from the 1:00 mark. Very interesting stuff. Reminds me of Woodstock hippies but with a more spiritual tone.
