A holiday job turned deadly for a South African teen when a goods lift stopped working. He stuck his head in to see what was wrong when it suddenly began moving and crushed the boys head, decapitating him.
Terrance Stadler, 17, was working at a Shoprite store in Kenilworth, South Africa..it was only his third day when the freak accident took his life.
His brother was also working at the store..he said that Terrance and four other workers were moving supplies to the elevators when one of them stopped working suddenly.
"Terrence stuck his head out of the lift, which was not completely closed, to see why it wasn't moving. The lift suddenly shot up and ripped his head open."
One of the women working with Terrance was 'covered with blood,'..The brother said he just heard screaming and shrieking and he just knew his brother was dead.
This is one of the worst on-the-job fatalities I've ever heard of..It's such a freak accident and such a sad thing. The boy was just trying to make some extra money for the holidays by working at the store..when fate seemed to find him in the wrong position at the wrong time.
