Edvard Munch masterpiece stolen 2 years ago may be too damaged to fix
Museum experts in Oslo, Norway are afraid that damage to the famous painting "The Scream" may be too extensive to repair. The painting was recoverd by police last month two years after it was stolen by masked gunmen. The damage is apparently from moisture. "“Water has been absorbed by one corner of the paper board, and there is abrasion damage on the lower part of the painting. “We have a large swath that is very visible."”
If this is the final word, it would be too bad. This is one of the most famous paintings in the world and to have it destroyed like this is so sad.
