Facebook, the popular social networking and probably the last indepedent and private business in web 2.0 is claiming that it is now worth $8 billion. It also added that it was not for sale and was expected to generated a billion-dollar profit by 2015.
I am not sure that is an accurate assessment of their value especially in Internet-related business that change trends quickly in a matter of months let alone years. It is good that they have managed to stay independent but it is time to face reality and not hype up the product too much.
