ibibo - an Indian equivalent of Digital Journal

By Patrix     Dec 14, 2006 in Business
The fad of paying bloggers to write news and posts is catching on. An Indian blog portal, Ibibo works on a similar model as Digital Journal by ranking bloggers according to their activity and paying them cash. But this might be a one-time award.
The 100 winners in the Great Indian Blogger Hunt winners will be selected on the basis of their ibQ Scores. A blogger's ibQ Score is calculated through a formula that combines the blogger's activity with reader response. The ibQ Score has three components: Quality Score, Popularity Score and Activity Score.
My only complain is that it is an one-time award and not an ongoing plan like Digital Journal. It takes time to develop a comfort level with the site you are blogging on and also, to develop your 'reputation' but overall, an interesting concept.
