Scientists believe big brown bats rely on the Earth's magnetic field to keep their bearings as they swoop the night sky.
Nature can do things that are just astounding. Bats join other animals like Newts, Homing Pigeons and Turtles as creatures that use the Earth's field to find their way home. They found that bats who were exposed to a false field flew off in the wrong direction and were lost.
