Letterman to Stay at CBS Through 2010

By Andrew Majewski     Dec 4, 2006 in Entertainment
David Letterman isn't going anywhere. CBS Corp. announced Monday that the late-night funnyman has signed a contract to stay on the air until at least 2010. It was widely reported in September that Letterman had agreed to the deal.
Tough break for Conan O'Brien. He is scheduled to take over for Jay Leo on NBC in 2009, what is now scheduled to be Lettermans next to last year. I would expect O'Brien to have some low numbers his first couple of years as host of the tonight show competing against Letterman. Salary figures are said to be over $30,000,000 per year.
