A recent survey suggests Toronto's police force may not be in the best of shape to be chasing down the bad guys.
A survey shows that nearly two thirds of the 2000 Toronto police officers and civilian employees are overweight.
Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair told the Toronto Police Services Board last week that this survey was intended to help the force promote healthier choices and to reduce stress among the ranks.
He said "We believe the health of all of our employees is something we have a responsibility for, but we want to also assist them to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle."
This may sound bad but according to the president of Obesity Canada he said this total is not much different than the average Canadian health habits.
While this maybe true, police officers should i believe be in better shape as their job calls for them to be physical at times.
