A new museum opens to commemorate a war which ended nearly 90 years ago. The National World War I museum will open this weekend in Kansas City.
Rather than just showcasing the events of 90 years ago, the museum has put together displays that will help visitors answer the questions "Why should I now?" and "Why should I care?". The museum, which cost about $26 million, includes a glass that floor entrance, with 9000 red poppies underneath, representing the 9000 lives taken by the Great War. No word on admission cost yet, but I would definetly pay to see this.
