Are you being inundated by spam? Have the e-mail addresses you set up for customer contacts on your web site become useless due to excessive spam? Are your spam filters blocking real mail but letting all the junk though?
Due to excessive spam that has been penetrating the filters both my ISP and my own mail software has in place, I have found it necessary to disable certain e-mail accounts I have been using. I just deleted over 2000 junk e-mails this morning! It has also come to my attention that some legitimate e-mails have not been able to penetrate these filters, and were flagged as junk! After a bit of research I found a site that provides advice on combating email harvester robots with email obfuscation, they claim “A six month study found that email addresses encoded in this way and posted on the Web received no junk email.” I've put their advice to use and so far it's dramatically reduced the spam I was getting, but don't take my word for it... give it a try yourself!
