Will this devise help us understand a lot of things that we dont???
The Antikythera Mechanism, discovered more than 100 years ago in a Roman shipwreck, was used by ancient Greeks to display astronomical cycles as we have been told by experts.
Using advanced imaging techniques, a team gathered the remaining fragments of the complex geared device. The results show that it could have been used to predict solar and lunar eclipses. They also think that the arrangement of bronze gears may have also displayed planetery information.
"It is a unique device." said one of the team...Not all experts agree with their theory!!!
