Mandel Wants Liquor Stores to Close Earlier

If Stephen Mandel gets his way, liquor stores in Alberta will have to close 3 hours earlier.

According to the Edmonton Journal, Stephen Mandel wants the Province to mandate an 11:00 pm shutdown of all liquor outlets in Alberta. In the wake of several violent attacks, the Mayor of Edmonton is looking for ways to keep citizens safe, and he feels that tighter control of booze is the answer. Also, six additional plain-clothed and uniformed officers will be assigned to the popular Whyte Ave area to help nip outbreaks in the bud.
