article imageThe Canadian Conservative Government to release decade-long economic plan

By Nathalie Caron     Nov 22, 2006 in Business
"Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty will be releasing the government's fall fiscal update and a separate document outlining the Conservative economic plan for the next decade."
This seems pretty presumptious of the Conservative government which still only holds a minority government and is losing some of the marginal support to be planing so far ahead.
Critics predict the plan will be little more than a pre-election platform designed to convince Canadians to vote Conservative, should an election be called before the Tories have a chance to introduce a budget in the spring.
I am looking forward to hearing what schemes they are planing now. I have a feeling they will do something else with the GST and income taxes. Grrr... right-wing.
