Cambodian and international judges are meeting to discuss the rules to be applied during the trials of the former leaders of the Khmer Rouge.
These trials are comparable to the Nuremberg Trials as under Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge 2 million people are thought to have been killed.
The trials are UN backed and will probably start in 2007.
Pol Pot died in 1998 but other key members of the Khmer Rouge are still alive- many of them as free men.
There is concern over how fair the trials will be. This is the reason why the trials have yet to take place.
The victims deserve justice. This happened almost 30 years ago. It's time the people who did this came to justice.
