WOW!, that's a hell of a lot of storage but way beyond my budget for sure....
Hitachi-Maxell is organizing a showcase this week to present their new 300GB holographic CD to the public. One holographic disc is predicted to cost between $100 and $125, and the special optical drive that will be able to read the discs will go up to $15.000!

In 2008, InPhase plans a second-generation 800GB rewritable optical disc with data transfer rates of about 80MBbps, with plans to expand its capacity to 1.6TB by 2010.

Earlier this year Hitachi put out a press release claiming we would see 1TB holographic drives from the company.
