Music is Music, but these days the package its wrapped in makes all the difference.
the I-Pod seems to be winning! WHATS YOUR PICK....AND WHY?
Apple recently releases thier 5th generation I-Pod with all the bells and whistles you can ask for in an MP3 player, everything you want to access is at your finger tips like movies, t.v. shows even games, all this thing needs now is a touch screen and you have PDA on your hands (hint hint to Apple) everywhere you go you can spot business proffesionals and students alike with the highly recognizable white ear buds plugged into thier heads, it's just cool to have! Apple has done a great job with brainwashing...oops lol, i mean thier ads with capturing the hearts of music lovers, and for those who like to read, they can feed thier minds on the countless audio-books available on I-Tunes. Either way the I-Pod has capture the hearts and minds of alot of people.
But theres nothing like a little healty competition, Microsoft has release thier Media player the Zune which just recently hit the shelves, what makes it different? Well roughly the size of the I-Pod it flaunts a 3 inch LCD screen which can be viewed both in Vertical and horizontal modes for video, but the big selling point is the fact that you can engage in Zune to Zune WiFi based sharing of media like songs and pictures, download or upload tracks up to 30 feet away and with multiple Zunes, it also includes a built in FM radio tuner.
Much like Apple's I-Tunes Microsoft has the "Zune Marketplace" X-box players will recognize the marketplace theme Microsoft has going with both these products, The Zune Marketplace uses a point system to purchase music and othe media, but in actual dollars it works out to be around the same price for a single track at 99c a pop. So far on paper it looks like it should do ok up against the I-Pod, and Microsoft being the King of software and apps you may be able to look forward to direct downloading from the Marketplace or sync with MSN.
The Price? the 30 GB Zune goes for $250.00 to match with the 30 GB I-Pod at $249.00
So Which one are you going to get? ...you're the consumer, you be the judge but heres a helpful article on all the specs and comparisons on both Devices on this link: http://money.cnn.com/popups/2006/fortune/zune/2.html
