BC Lions' Geroy Simon named CFL Top Player.

By TheCesspit     Nov 17, 2006 in Lifestyle
BC Lions slotback Geroy Simon was named the CFL's top player ahead of this weekends 96th Grey Cup. Simon, coming off a 105 reception season hopes to lead his British Columbia Lions to the championship: "we just have to finish it off now."
I've watched the BC Lions play three times this year while in Vancouver, and Geroy has been exceptional, combining speed and agility to get yardage and scare defences. It's good to start watching a team when they are on a high.
The CFL obviously gets less press and status than the NFL, even it seems in Canada, but it's still got all the elements of the 4-down game, and is much cheaper and friendlier too. The guys on the field are still top quality athletes, sometimes with a game that is better suited to the CFL rules, which seems a bit more open than the sometimes grind of the NFL.
Now, can I find a bar in the UK to watch the final?
