By bulshoy     Nov 16, 2006 in Technology
Two separate teams have sequenced the DNA of a Neanderthal man. The sample comes from the thigh-bone found in Croatia.
Once the entire genome has been completed, scientists hope to solve a great mystery: What happened to Neanderthal Man? Did they inter-breed with Homo sapiens? Did modern man simply kill them all off? Nobody knows...yet.
What is becoming clear is that modern humans share almost all of their DNA with these primitive people.
