Intel Corp., the world's largest computer chip maker, on Tuesday launched a family of chips with four computing engines inside a single microprocessor.
The Core 2 Extreme chip is as much as 80% faster than previous models. This makes me wonder, do we really need all this power?? (for home computing of course).
It seems like whenever the hardware advances, the operating system become more and more demanding and resource intensive. We're not harnessing all this power correctly.
