A US Navy ship gets this distress call, "Navy ship, navy ship, can you help. Water. No English." and comes to the rescue.
A US Navy ship in the Arabian Sea answered a distress call from an Iranian dhow which was stranded 140 miles off the coast of Pakistan. The US Navy ship received this call, "Navy ship, navy ship, can you help. Water. No English." and at first thought that the dhow was sinking. They latter found out the 24 person crew of the dhow needed water and fuel. They apparently miscalculated there fuel and water consumption, and needed help. The US Navy provided assistance by giving the dhow crew, 75 sixteen once bottles of water, 236 gallons of fuel, and 2 days of food for the crews return journey home. The dhow was out for 25 days.
I think its great to see the humanitarian help the US Navy gives to other countries sailors in distress, this is not the first account of this happening this year.
