Using plants as models for solar energy collection

By Thespian     Nov 13, 2006 in Technology
Scientists are studying plants to figure out better designs for solar energy collection devices.
I always thought this would be a goo dline of study. It always amazed me that we really don't know exactly how photsynthesis works. Our attempts to split hydrogen and oxygen from water seem incredibly crude and inefficient by comparison. I'd love to see large scale, photsynthetic-based power generation sites.
