National Science Foundation updated budget report recommends cutting funding for several major astronomy telescopes.
A new report by the National Science Foundation is recommending cuts in funding to several major astronomical telescopes including Arecibo, Kitt Peak, and Sacramento Peak. This could potentially mean shutting down some of these important telescopes if they cant figure out how to generate external funding.
