Chef Al Yeganeh (the guy who inspired the Soup Nazi character on Seinfeld) is opening 18 food franchises aross the U.S., and 5,000 U.S. stores over the next seven years.
Celebrating the one-year anniversary of the original 18 Soup Man U.S. franchises, Yaganeh says his soaring popularity from the 1995 episode of Seinfeld featuring the Soup Nazi has led his company to launch several related soup products in U.S. grocery stores.
He now plans to open 5,000 U.S. stores over the next seven years.
"It's yet to be determined. But one of the options is to turn it into a soup museum," company spokesman John Rarrick told the Post. "It would be sort of an historical shrine to Al's career as a soup man."
