A study out Wednesday suggest that babies who die of SIDS have serious abnormalities in a brain region that controls breathing and heart rate.
SIDS is the abrupt death of an infant under 1 year of age that cannot be explained after police and the medical examiner rule out foul play and other causes of death, such as a heart defect.
