According to a new report, emergency rooms at U.S. hospitals are becoming stretched as patient visits increase while the number of emergency facilities declines.

"In recent years, growth in the use of hospital emergency medical services (ED's) has coincided with a decline in the number of EDs, leading to concerns about the capacity of EDs that continue to operate," said the report.

I love studies, as I think they get us thinking in new directions and looking at new things to study but some seem a waste of money. Leave it to the medical community to need a study. I, an average man and computer user, could tell you that they are too crowded. Sometimes, the smartest of people tend to be our most clueless. Wait, I found another study: many people in bars are drunk...
