Transportation Security Administration allowing a little liquid on flights now
Monday the U. S. said it will ease the ban on liquids and gels in carry-on bags on airline flights. This policy was imposed last month after authorities in London foiled a plot to bomb U.S.-bound flights. Now we can carry up to 3 oz. bottles, as well as drinks purchased in the secure areas and lip gloss and hand lotions.
"After the initial, total ban, we have learned enough from the UK investigation to say with confidence that small, travel size liquids are safe to bring through security checkpoints in limited numbers," said Assistant TSA Secretary Kip Hawley.
I, personally, have been stopped because of metal built into my shoes and yes, this can all make your flight longer but I say anything to keep another 9/11 from happening. I think it is worth all the precautions and I think the majority of flyers feel this way.
