Mind you, the victim did not figure that out himself, his brother
spotted it and told him the bad news. The guy he'd fought had stuck the knife in him and then run off. It was 2 a.m. and the victim, not knowing he was hurt, was tired so didn't bother with a chase.
Why did they
fight? The man who was stabbed was on his porch to have a cigarette and when the other guy, a stranger, came up on the porch and asked for a light, the victim said no. Grounds for a stabbing? Maybe, but you'd really have to hate rejection.
Trenton police officer Lt. Mark Kieffer said the wounded man, 42, was taken to the hospital and the knife was successfully removed. He's expected to make a full recovery.
There are no suspects.
