A couple who were married only for a few weeks met a man from Craigslist, and killed him. They say that they wanted to kill together.
According to GlobalNews, Elytte Barbour, 22, told cops on Friday that he and his wife Miranda, 18, planned on killing before but up until last month their plans had never worked out. Last month was when Troy LaFerrara responded to an ad on Craigslist, promising companionship in return for cash.
According to ABC, police in Sunbury, PA, said that the couple murdered LaFerrara on Barbour's 22nd birthday.
According to CNN, LaFerrara was strangled and stabbed 20 times, and it was the last number that he called on his phone that led police to the couple.
When police questioned the couple, Miranda denied ever knowing the victim, but later confessed as evidence was presented.
Miranda told cops that she met the victim at a mall, and he got into her car, but her husband was hiding under a blanket in the back seat. The couple had a signal, which was pre-arranged, which was to indicate when he knew it was time to murder the victim.
The couple both faces charges such as criminal homicide, as well other ones. They will now go to court next week.
