Doug Gray, the lead singer of the iconic Marshall Tucker Band, opened up about their upcoming show at B.B. King Blues Club, New York City.
They will be playing there on Friday, December 13. "I am ready for it. You know how I feel about B.B. Kings," the southern rocker said. "I love to be there and the band loves to be there. It's like the end-of-the year wrap-up with all of our friends that live close by up there."
Gray revealed that their set at B.B. Kings will consist of a few new songs. "We always do those," he said.
It will also feature soul singer Twinkle as their opening act. "Twinkle is actually opening the show for us and she will get up and sing a song with us," he shared.
He foreshadowed that Marshall Tucker Band is going to come out with a brand new studio album next year.
This past September, the southern rock group played at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury with Grammy winner Charlie Daniels. "That was great. It's always good. We have a few lined up with Charlie in this coming year in 2014. We are looking forward to being with him a whole lot," he said.
