According to The Hollywood Reporter, the New York Film Critics Circle named
American Hustle the Best Picture on Tuesday.
In addition to best film it was also named Best Screenplay, and they named Jennifer Lawrence Best Supporting Actress,
according to Variety.
According to The Guardian,
American Hustle is a "fictional" account of the FBI's Abscam sting that took place in the 70's and 80's. The movie is stacked with talent including Christian Bale with a combover, Bradley Cooper with a perm, Amy Adams, and Jeremy Renner.
Other awards handed out by the New York Film Critics Circle included Cate Blanchett taking home Best Actress for
Blue Jasmine, Jared Leto taking home Best Supporting Actor for
Dallas Buyers Club and Steve McQueen taking home Best Director for
12 Years a Slave,
according to The Hollywood Reporter.
