Split - With more than 1.5 million views for its first three videos, the Central Dalmatia Tourist Board releases its latest promotional video.
With the highly successful 2013 tourist season now over in Dalamtia, the Central Dalmatia Tourist Board continued with its preparations for the new season, with the Youtube release of its latest promotional video, The Heart of Adriatic, on November 30, 2013.
The video, which aims to answer the question 'What is Central Dalmatia?' takes the viewer on a breathtaking tour of one of the most diverse tourist regions in the country, opening windows of culture, activities, heritage and nature at every turn.
Central Dalmatia has enjoyed a bumper tourist season, posting the highest number of visitors in the country in a late-seeason surge in October, as its main hub, Split Airport, was the busiest air connection in the country during the summer months, with over a million passenger arrivals during the season.
The regional tourist board is increasingly in tune with the modern tourist, and it has started various social media initiatives in the last 12 months, including a Facebook page with almost 60,000 fans, a dedicated blog and a Youtube channel which has so far attracted more than 1.5 million views from just three videos, including Hvar Dynamic Postcard, which has been watched almost one million times.
While the Dalmatian coast and islands feature heavily in the video, there is also plenty of coverage of inland Dalmatia, whose heritage, nature and adventure sport make it one of the last undiscovered tourism finds in Europe, something which the tourist board is working hard to change.
