article imageSatisfaction as Mick Jagger about to become great-grandad at 70

By Anne Sewell     Nov 25, 2013 in Entertainment
Anyone from the Rolling Stones era will most likely feel a little old when they hear that 70-year-old Mick Jagger is about to become a great-grandfather. His granddaughter, Assisi, is due to give birth in early 2014.
Is it a case of he can get some satisfaction, or will he want to paint everything black?
Seriously though, first Mick became a father when he and the lovely Bianca, the well-known human rights campaigner and former Nicaraguan model, had Jade Jagger. The couple got married in 1971 and then were divorced eight years later.
While Jade was the first child, six more children followed from his many and various wives, including four with Jerry Hall, one with Marsha Hunt and yet another one with Luciana Morad. Nothing wrong with old Mick's sperm count, that's for sure.

He then became a grandfather, when Jade became the mother of two children, including Assisi, and two more grandchildren by way of Karis-Jagger Hunt.
Now he has the pleasure of becoming a great-granddad when Assisi, 21, gives birth in early in 2014 to his very first great-grandchild. Reportedly Assisi's boyfriend is a chef.
The Sunday Times interviewed Jade Jagger, future granny aged only 42, who told them, ”It is true. I am going to be a grandmother,” adding that her father has no problems with the fact that he is about to become a great-grandfather.
She explained that Mick had always been a family man, and was great at getting the whole family together for special occasions including Christmas and birthday parties.
In fact, she said that most of them would be getting together to celebrate New Year's Eve in Mustique at the end of the year.

Of course we do have to bear in mind that all the band members of the Rolling Stones are getting, well, a little mature. In fact, they are all grandparents, which is a sobering thought, when talking about their generation (with apologies to The Who).
Of course the band is still giving performances including the huge celebration of their 50th anniversary in 2012 in the UK and north America.
Next year, the band is planning a brand new tour around Australia and New Zealand, set to include the re-opening of the Adelaide Oval to the tune of 70,000 fans in March.
Not bad for a bunch of grandfathers, plus one great-granddad.
Makes you wonder if "performers" like little Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus will be able to say the same in 50 years? However, the mind does tend to boggle at the thought of a 70-year-old naked "twerker," swinging on a wrecking ball, puffing on a joint with her tongue hanging out ...
The video above was published by the Rolling Stones to wish Mick a happy 70th birthday in July this year and if you are upset at the above news, this will definitely come to your emotional rescue.
