Black Widows have been discovered in grapes across the states of Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri and Pennsylvania.
According to The Epoch Times, the latest discovery came from Dillsburg, PA, when Yvonne Whalen was rinsing and eating a bag of red grapes. Whalen said that she noticed that there was a Black Widow spider's leg coming up over the grape, and that was when she dropped the grapes into her sink.
According to Fox, Earlier in the month a shopper in Brighton, Mich, bought some grapes at a Kroger store, and when she got home she noticed that there was a Black Widow inside her grapes.
According to Daily Mail, It is not uncommon for the Black Widow, which is venomous, to be found in grapes.
The spiders are easy to identify, as they have a red mark on the back of their almost all-black bodies. The spiders also have enough venom that can potentially kill a human.
