article imageReview: Danielle Bradbery mesmerizes on debut country album Special

By Markos Papadatos     Nov 25, 2013 in Entertainment
Country singer and season 4 winner of "The Voice" Danielle Bradbery released her eponymous debut studio album on November 25.
It was produced by Dann Huff, and Scott Borchetta served as its executive producer.
Her CD opens with the refreshing ode "Young in America" and it is followed by "Wild Boy," where her vocals are reminiscent to those of Carrie Underwood.
Bradbery's lead-off single "The Heart of Dixie" is the third track on album and it is an absolute gem. I loved it since the first time I heard it and although it currently sits in the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, I am certain that it is No. 1 bound.
She showcases her incredible vocal range and powerful pipes on the power-ballad "I Will Never Forget You," where the listener can easily recall Carrie Underwood again.
Bradbery changes the pace of the CD with the mid-tempo "Endless Summer," thus showcasing her versatility as a vocalist.
In "Talk About Love," her vocals are slightly reminiscent of Miranda Lambert and on "Never Like This," she hits the high notes and makes them seem effortless.
"Daughter of a Workin' Man" is a moving ballad that is sung beautifully by Bradbery. "Dance Hall" is an equally soothing vocal.
"Yellin' From the Rooftop" is upbeat and it closes with another power-ballad, the exquisite "My Day."
The Verdict
Danielle Bradbery's voice is one in a million. Every song on this album is solid and it features an eclectic mix of tunes. At 17 years old to be able to nail all of these songs with perfect pitch is quite astonishing. This CD garners 5 out of 5 stars. Out of all of the new females in the country genre, Bradbery has the most potential to become the next big female superstar in the caliber of Taylor Swift.
Her mentor on "The Voice" Blake Shelton would be proud of this superb album that Bradbery recorded and released.
