On Friday Microsoft announced that more than a million Xbox One consoles were sold within 24 hours in more than 10 countries after it went on sale for the first time in the morning.
According to CTV, Microsoft said that this launch was the biggest launch in Xbox history, and it helped set a new sales record for the company.
According to Bloomberg, Microsoft has been focusing on pitching the console's motion-sensing Kinect camera as a controller for all sorts of living room entertainment, as well as focusing on exclusive content, which includes games such as "Dead Rising 3," and "Ryse: Son of Rome."
According to Huffington post, Yusuf Mehdi, the corporate vice president of marketing and strategy at Xbox, said that the company is working hard to produce more Xbox One Consoles.
Sony Corp recently released its Playstation 4 console, and the sales for the Xbox One has been on par with the PS4 sales. Sony also launched in more countries than the Xbox One.
The PS4 currently sells for $399, while the Xbox One carries a price tag of $499.
