article imageMiley Cyrus turns 21 by hosting MTV marathon

Chances are, you're not likely to celebrate your birthday by hijacking a network to host an eight-hour show dedicated to yourself. But then, chances are, your name isn't Miley Cyrus.
MTV announced Thursday it plans to provide the outrageous pop star, who somehow elevated "twerking" into water-cooler vernacular, her own eight-hour special, 21 Candles: Miley's MTV Moments, beginning Saturday at noon (ET/PT).
Count on at least a couple of those moments to include her demonstration of practical foam-finger applications and bump 'n' grind session with Robin Thicke during the MTV VMA Awards in August, not to mention her gratuitous puffs on a joint while on an Amsterdam stage at the MTV EMA Awards earlier in November.
Still for young fans trying to satisfy their Cyrus fix, MTV promises not to disappoint. The itinerary will include a shameless rundown of 21 reasons why her following adores her, an endless unspooling of her music video career, and celebrity shout-outs to mark the occasion of her turning legal in all 50 U.S. states.
Cyrus fans can also tweet the singer, dominating the charts with her CD Wrecking Ball, who will also reflect on her own tabloid-laden trajectory path.
For those who have other things to do Saturday afternoon, the show will be repeated throughout the weekend.
