The first eight minutes have been streamed for the second installment of the "Ghost In The Shell: Arise" OVA called "Ghost Whispers" which opens in theaters across Japan come November 30.
“Border 2: Ghost Whispers,” the second part of the 4-part “Ghost In The Shell: ARISE” OVA, will be having its theatrical screening across Japan come November 30. Crunchyroll reports that there was a preview screening last weekend. Now, anticipating fans can watch the first eight minutes of the upcoming 2nd OVA which is called “Ghost Whispers.” From what the opening minutes show, no time is wasted in getting to the action where Motoko Kusanagi (the heroine of GITS) and Batou (her future partner) cross paths once again. GITS: ARISE serves as a prequel to the first “Ghost In The Shell” movie which came out in the mid-1990s. If you are a fan of Ghost In The Shell, you may want to check out GITS: Arise – Border 2: Ghost Whispers. This will be made available on home video via Blu-Ray come Christmas Day.
The opening minutes give glimpses of the story about warring that seems to be taking place in the Middle East and a person who's seemingly a military officer being put on trial. Then, it goes to one of the Logicomas being hacked. When Kusanagi takes the Logicoma to get it checked, she is attacked by an armed unit. It is revealed that Batou is the driver. Thus, they cross paths again. Ghost Whispers continues on from “Ghost Pain” (the first part of the OVA) in which Kusanagi's no longer with the 501st Secret Unit. Slowly and carefully, she's looking for and picking out members that end up making Public Security Section 9.
