A "Ghost In The Shell: ARISE" web-exclusive short film has been made available for viewing. It is a way of showing the transition of the website to a new address.
The production company behind Ghost In The Shell: ARISEhas released a web-exclusive short film called “[.JP]” which is a creative way of telling fans about the transition of web addresses. Through this short film, the website is transitioning from its previous “kokaku-a.com” address to its new “kokaku-a.jp” address. This short film has Motoko Kusanagi, the primary main character, going through one layer of cyberspace. When pursuing an enemy, Motoko goes into another layer of cyberspace where her “cyberspace form” is revealed.
This is something to watch before November 30 in which “border: 2 Ghost Whispers,” the second episode of the GITS: ARISE OVA, will be having a theatrical release before a December 25 home-video release on Blu-Ray and DVD.
GITS: ARISE serves as a prequel to the original Ghost In The Shell film which came out in the 1990s; thus, it has no connection to the alternative universe series known as Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex. This first episode of the OVA, known as “border: 1 Ghost Pain,” has already been released. GITS: ARISE serves as a backstory for the members of Section 9 before the group formed.
