"The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness," a documentary about Studio Ghibli, hits theaters across Japan on November 16. A trailer is available for viewing.
The first trailer has been released for the upcoming documentary film called “Yume to Kyouki no Oukoku” aka “The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness.” The film hits theaters across Japan on November 16. If you are a fan of Japanese anime, especially anime films coming from Studio Ghibli, then you may want to check out The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness” when it hits theaters.
This film follows the behind-the-scenes work of Studio Ghibli. It follows the notable figures Hayao Miyazaki, Tsao Takahata, and Toshio Suzuki. Crunchyroll reports that this documentary was made during Studio Ghibli's production of “The Wind Rises” and “Kaguya-hime no Monogatari.” If you are a fan of Studio Ghibli's works, you may want to see the movie. This also gives insight on these notable figures of Japanese anime.
While the trailer starts off with Miyazaki's retirement, an article on Japanator reports that while he's retired from making films, other projects are a different story. Currently, he's working on a manga that's set during Japan's Sengoku Era. While Miyazaki adamantly said he's serious about retiring from film making, he hasn't given up on storytelling.
