The funeral of Harold Jellicoe “Coe” Percival, who served in RAF Bomber Command as ground crew during World War Two will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, 11th November.
He will be buried at Lytham Park Cemetery & Crematorium, Regent Avenue, Lytham St Annes, which is close to Blackpool in the northwest of England.
He died peacefully at Alistre Lodge Nursing Home on October 25, aged 99 years.
The news has been
reported as far away as Australia, where Percival worked for a number of years as a decorator.
Hundreds are now expected to attend for his funeral after it was initially reported that he had no close family or friends who were able to attend.
The
Daily Mail reports that he was a distant relative of Spencer Perceval, who died in 1812, the only British prime minister to be assassinated.
