article imageNBA Scores: Indiana starts season 7-0 after win over Brooklyn

By Larry Seely     Nov 10, 2013 in Sports
Brooklyn - The Indiana Pacers are off to the best start in franchise history as they are now 7-0 after a big win over Brooklyn on the road Saturday night 96-91.
With the victory, Indiana has passed the 6-0 start the team got off to back in 1970 when they played in the ABA. Paul George had a game high 24 points on 8 of 14 shooting on the night, including three of five from three-point territory, but he was not the only star of the game for the Pacers. Four starters scored in double figures, including Roy Hibbert, who added 15 points and a game high 11 rebounds.
The ownership and fans of the Brooklyn Nets are expecting big things after a major trade this summer brought the team Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, but the loss at home has the team at just 2-4 on the year and looking for answers.
Deron Williams and Joe Johnson both scored 17 points for the Nets, but the Pacers defense proved too tough down the stretch and Garnett added just six points, preventing Brooklyn from reaching .500 on the year and allowing Indiana to make team history.
