article imageNHL Trade Rumors: Jordan Eberle to Philadelphia Flyers?

By Larry Seely     Nov 8, 2013 in Sports
Philadelphia - Edmonton and Philadelphia are two NHL teams with the same problem — neither is winning many games his season and unless the front office for both franchises make a move soon, this could be a lost year for both teams.
The one major difference between the two: Edmonton is struggling defensively, while the Flyers are last in the league in goals scored, but if the recent rumors are true, these two teams could be making a trade soon that could help both squads with their area of need.
Philly.com has reported that the Flyers front office has inquired about a deal for youngster Jordan Eberle, a solid offensive player that could help spark Philly out of last place in the Metropolitan Division.
Edmonton has been floundering all season with poor defense and mediocre play in the net, but the Flyers have a number of young and talented defensemen that they could use as trade bait with the Oilers.
Philadelphia has waited long enough for their offense to start clicking and the time is now to make a move. Making a deal to acquire a 23 year-old with good production is a positive step forward and one that could actually help both franchises over the rest of the 2013-14 NHL season.
